Why is it that we pay a DJ hundreds of dollars to spin records at a school dance when we have talented students who would perform for pizza?

David Mills is on a mission to revitalize the American dance band with a 10-piece combination that will include amplified strings. Looking beyond our schools, David believes every community should have its own dance band, and we should all promote social dancing to live music.

Under the aegis of Neighborhood Music School and the Guilford Parks & Recreation Department, David launched The Guilford 10pDB on New Year's Eve 2007. Others will follow.
